Yes people have been 'canny' yes there is more expectation but I think the biggest culprit is the club for it's option of 'sign up for every cup game'. This will have resulted in thousands of tickets being sold on for every round and rather than seperate the fans who attend from those who buy it lumps us into one pot.

I scraped into Istanbul because I missed the first two home game and had 6 credits. Almost everyone who wanted one got tickets though down to that level. This time I'd be behind 6,000 people who may or may not have attended all the rounds. People are far less likely to buy tickets for games they can't attend no matter how 'canny' they feel if it involves them spending 1/2hr on the phone at work 5 times a season. When it's ticking a box on 1 day who wouldn't.

Auto ticketing has caused this. In my opinion and as an OOTER I already pay the club for the privilidge of not watching matches by having a season ticket. Now it appears that unless I commit to another £200-300 a season for games I wont be able to go to I don't get to go to finals. Well f*** them is what I say. I'm ticking NO on auto tickets and with the money I save I can pay a tout £800 for a ticket next time we get to a final. It's using the system donchaknow

your f***ing drunk

the issues are 1. should ST be given priority 2) WHY THE f*** HAVE 1 IN 10/15 CHANCE OF GETTING A TICKET????

how can you blame people for attending the match being responsible for you not getting a ticket?

You'll have to give me the number for that secret hotline, mate! Takes me about three f***ing hours to get through. =)

easy option, you want to watch liverpool in a cup game.................all tickets on sale at anfield................you turn up.............you buy...........you get your credit by being there..............none of this we live in london or other areas.....you want to be at the game, queue for tickets..............cant see it hapenning

The logic seems a bit opaque, but it certainly isn't the case that season ticket holders who ticked the boxes for the auto ticket scheme have done well. There are 3 season tickets in my family, we all ticked the boxes, none of our fan card numbers have come up in the ballot. Likewise a colleague at work and his family have 6 season tickets, ticked the boxes, none of them have come up in the ballot.

Probably cos it would be chaos at every game

why would it, wasnt in the 80's you want to support the team then tickets are on sale at the window for every game..............i know in this day and age it wouldnt work because clubs will take supporters from everywhere.............so you hit the OOT issue..........and thats the problem with the auto ticket

simple answer in is back date the european credits for two/three years. I'd expect those who have been to all homes games (including qualfiers) for the last 2 years would qualify automatically for a ticket.

Much easier to organise when large areas of the ground are standing, without allocated seats

not really, you could have given fans then a card or a chance to apply for a card............still sell tickets at the windows..............it would sort out who really wants to go to games,...............locals and OOT would have to take time off to go..................there will never be an answer to sort this chaos out

Difference is it is now POPULAR to follow us abroad compared to say 5 years ago when we'd see the same faces in eastern europe in the UEFA Cup.

Even better, who wants to spend 21 hours of their life on the phone for tickets for other people

Give it up then

Why should I, I pays my money, if I choose to go to 5/6 games a year that's my perogative. My point is I made the effort in 2005, I used a lot of holiday making midweek games to see the European Cup games and spent a lot of time ringing up to get tickets for each round. This year if I'd wanted to get a full book of credits all I needed to do was tick a box this year and sell all my tickets on. That's not loyalty.

1. I wasn't/ I'm not now

2. ST should get prioroty when they have the same number of credits in my opinion.

3. Becase we only got 17,00 tickets and about 3000 have gone to Shareholders, 4000 to 7+ credits and 3-4000 wil have disappeared into the murky world of corporate hospitality/staff/players/directors.

4. It's not people attending the match, it's people clicking auto ticket and then NOT attending matches IMO. I'm not blaming people. They paid for all the mathes whether they wanted to go or not. That's why so many people have EXACTLY the same qualifying criteria. Auto ticket = All the home games and no other credits. Taht's why we are where we are.

I should be automatically given a ticket because I buy two kits each season for my lads. I've just found out that an OOTR has got a ticket because he bought a jester hat from the club shop. I'm livid

Why do people have to spend time "proving" how much they want to go to the game?

Well, that is wrong. Morally speaking ;)

And against the rules of your season ticket I suspect.

I know we all play the system to a greater or lesser extent

Some fans will do anything to get a ticket, some fans will ask a couple of friends to get a ticket, some fans wait until one drops at their feet. It's usually the latter that get tickets in my experience.

Some fans wear a scarf, some fans take a flag, some fans take a horn, some fans wear no colours. It's my experience that the fan who wears no colours is usually the last out of the pub, local, has no internet access, has no visa card and doesn't buy anything from the shop and therefore does not deserve a ticket under any circumstances.

That's ripped off from Parry's Mission Statement.

Some posters are extremely popular, some posters are witty, some posters are just WUMs, other posters are just thick OOTR's. It's my experience that the latter does not recognise sarcasm when it's posted.
