People say we practise them a lot, but I think it just as much the mental strength of our players, for which credit (over a number of years) must go to the club for getting the right players when pressure is on.

 

But , we have missed a fair few in 'normal' time.

The first pen shoot out I went to, was v Portsmouth in 92, and I am sure it was said our penalties were 'Germanesque'.

People, read idiots, keep saying that penalties are a horrid way to end a football game because it's all luck/lottery etc.

 

It's not though is it, there's a reason some teams just keep winning on pens.
