RAFA: WE WON'T TAKE PSV LIGHTLY

Rafael Benitez has insisted Liverpool will not rest on their laurels and think the tie is already won when PSV Eindhoven come to Anfield in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday night.

Despite Liverpool being 3-0 up from the first leg Benitez said he will field a strong line-up with the intention of winning the second leg and making sure of the Reds semi-final place.

"We know there have been comebacks from 3-0 down in the Champions League - we did it in Istanbul," warned Benitez. :bleh::bleh:

"These kind of games are difficult. Sometimes teams say 'OK, the job is done'. But we have to be careful. We know if they score an early goal they will push forward and we could have problems.

"We must approach the game the same as we did against Barcelona and try to win. We do not go into the game thinking a draw will be enough. We need to go for a win.

"Hopefully we will reach the semi-final of the Champions League and I hope we can be sure we are in the top four so we can concentrate on that."

My worst fear is complacency, by the players and by the fans.

If PSV score first then the twitchy a*** syndrome will come into effect.

I've had TAS for a couple of days now. I keep remembering AC Milan getting pasted over in Holland when they were dead and burried.

Don't see any problems on Wednesday, as long as we stay focused.

Ideal situation will be Champions league qualification in the league virtually tied up just before the semi final.

maybe im wrong but don't you mean spain? deportivo?

cant remember exactly but Milan won 5-1 at home then the return leg... they lost 5-0.. is that right?

well ya but that wont happen here...

our tie is completely over and it annoys me that people seem to be terrified of a comeback.. there will be no comeback. We are in the Semis so get used to it.

Close, it was 4-1 at the San Siro then Depor battered them 4-0.

The thing in our case though is that PSV are absolute gash.

Their current defence wouldn't even stop Jonathan Stead from scoring.

Both. There was the Depor-Milan game and in 04/05 PSV very nearly stung Milan at home after looking out of it after the first leg.
