My Mate's father died today.

My mate Simon's father died this morning. Trouble is, it's the fifth time this has happened to my knowledge. His mother, although still with us, has had about 6 heart attacks and has been confined to a wheelchair several times as well. Despite this, she is a lovely looking woman who is the life and soul of any party she goes to and is up dancing and drinking with the best of them. She recently ran a half marathon in under two hours BTW!

 

I could never do this me, but he rings me and is proud to tell me about it. He changes jobs like I change running shoes and every time he starts a new one, a string of "incidents" befall his family members. He'll say to his girlfriend, "Is my mum still alive in this job?" and expects her to keep up with the lies he's told.

 

I'm sure enough in my belief to know this is a bad thing and that the universe is clever enough to know how to repay us but Simon clearly doesn't believe in karma or whatever word you want to use and to my certain knowledge, nothing bad has ever really befallen any of his family members.

 

Will it ever or is he always going to get away with this sort of behaviour?
