Club Finances hit new low

Liverpool Football Club's Football in the Community department is collecting old (or new) football boots to send to Liberia.

Disability Liaison officer Jodi Unsworth has just returned from a trip to Liberia where she worked with around 3000 street children - mainly through football coaching.

 

The street children she worked with are going to play in a street football league, ran by Samaritans Purse.

 

These children don't have footwear and the majority play in bear feet - hence the appeal for unwanted boots.

 

Jodi is hoping to send 1000 pairs out to Liberia in mid December.

I reada theory yonks ago that was along the lines of Brazilians playing better/having better technique as they grew up playing barefoot.
