Champ league atmosphere

I'll be over at the end of the month. Or match against Bordeaux will be my first champions league match. Is there any difference between the atmosphere at a champions league match and a league or domestic cup match? Just curious.

Champions League matches are generally better for atmopshere - though in the case of the group games this is partly because the atmosphere at most League games is pretty non-existent these days.

 

The atmopshere at the Gala game was ok but even in the Champions League the really good atmospheres are reserved for the knock out or must-win games.

I don't think that the atmosphere will be as good in general with the season ticket hoilders in their 'league seats'.

The atmosphere has been good in past seasons cos the guys who normally have to live in the corners of the Kop 202 & 208 have been in the middle

Always much better at CL games as half the stadium is jarred. At our regular league kick off time of 12:45 ( ) everyone is trying to wake up!

It's ace in the Kop, mainly cause everyone stands. Much easier to sing.
