Coyler Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Reid's Ireland recall sent to former club Jon BrodkinMonday October 2, 2006The Guardian Andy Reid must wonder how closely his career is being followed within the Football Association of Ireland after learning that the notice recalling him to the national squad last week was sent to his former club Tottenham Hotspur. He joined Charlton this summer but the FAI sent his call-up notice along with Robbie Keane's to Spurs, who passed it to his current employers. Ireland play qualifiers in Cyprus on Saturday and against the Czech Republic in Dublin four days later but Reid will miss the first to work on his fitness in London after a hamstring injury from which he returned at the weekend. **** It's not the administrative error that's the worry; it's the recall. Boom, boom.
smithdown Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Someone should double-check those fixtures for them.
Coyler Posted October 2, 2006 Author Posted October 2, 2006 I can imagine them turning up at Windsor Park for a home match by accident.
jimmylibel Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 There was a piece in the Fiver last week which said that the FAI were the only football suits who made the English FA look good... I think that said it all really.
Guest Jude Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 I can imagine them turning up at Windsor Park for a home match by accident. Wish they would................give me a chance to wear my Celtic shirt
