...looking good for The Ryder Cup, for some reason Tiger just doesn't like the format. He lost to the world number 77 Shaun Micheel today in The World Matchplay, and Furyk lost heavily to Swede Roberet Karlsson as well.

 

Of the 5 European Ryder Cup players featured today Donald, Monty, Casey and Karlsson all had impressive wins; the only one to go out was Howell who was beaten in an excellent contest by his future team-mate Montgomerie.

 

I stuck a tenner each way on Micheel after the first 18 when he was three up at 40-1 - the bookies still fancied Woods strongly, but I thought he looked badly out of sorts and couldn't hole a putt to save his life. Micheel came through and now he's 10-1 so I'll be backing him!
