Inspired by the thread about pubs in Liverpool

I was in the Sugar Club for a friend's gig on Saturday, and afterwards there was this huge row in the middle of the street over what pub to go. In the end one person objected to pretty much every place (as usual) and we ended up in Doran's.

 

There's nothing exactly wrong with this per se, except with my mates its always Whelan's, Doran's or Doyle's. I've got nothing against Doyle's, apart from the fact that I hate everyone in it by default and wouldn't mind seeing most of them slip in a pool of their own blood...

 

Anyway, they seemed to get a great list and a decent debate in the other thread.

 

I'll start off safe: Grogan's - good place for the early evening or before hitting somewhere else. Always a good pint, decent crowd, and because there's no music, at least the music isn't s****.
