Bellamy's answer was along the lines off "the gaffer sat us down before the start of the season and told us the way he was going to do it throughout the season..... even Steven Gerrard never started today"

 

I took it to mean Rafa will pick the team for specific games if you are not in the team dont feckin sulk cos you are still part of the team and you may be in next week???

Yep. Really good to hear Bellamy say that. Pennant was in the paper today too saying "if Rafa wants to rotate that is fine by me" Brilliant to here. It doesn't mean they won't be gutted or trying their best to get back in, but it's nice that 2 players who have "attitude" concerns have come out and said that. I bet they we're both told that before they signed too.

well, when they signed for Liverpool while Rafa is manager, they have to understand that And the new boys where obviously told early on.

 

The difference is, it isn't a case of being dropped for no apparent reason (which was always one of Robbie's gripes with GH), it's being part of a squad working together. Rafa seems to explain things to the team, so if they start on the bench, then they still understand they are as important a part of the team, and can make a difference.

I must say that i always thought bellamy was a good little player, but like most i could not stand him.

 

Now though i am begining to understand why Newcastle fans loved him, he will be a kop Idol in no time like MOmo and Crouch last year.
