_00_deathscar Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Isn't he playing his last game soon? Saw this on another forum:Tommorow is the day Dennis Bergkamp will play his last match. A special orginized match between Bergkamp's last and first club, Arsenal & Ajax. Certainly gonna watch that one. Last match of a fantastic footballer, one of the best Dutch player's ever, no one 'stifts' as beautifull as he does. A complete c*t and played for the a***, but what a player. http://youtube.com/watch?v=6l9DiKUzGas&...nnis%20bergkamp
Guest Portly Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 I just sent this email to Radio 5 Live, but I don't suppose they will acknowledge it - "I can?t believe I just heard Matt Smith describe Dennis Bergkamp as a football 'statesman!!' Bergkamp was one of the dirtiest players in the Premiership. Not in a boisterous Robbie Savage way, but in a nasty, spiteful way. He usually managed to do his evil work when the referee wasn?t looking."

Lee W Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Bergkamp is a genius - one of the best players I've ever seen and right up there with Zola and Henry as the best imports the English League has seen. As the BBC said his highlights DVD would make fine viewing indeed. A superb example of a classic number 10 and one of the greats.
Guz Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 He has an uncontrollable habit of "the Shearers" where his elbows go flying around when he's on the football field but he's still a f***ing great player.
slapnuts Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 I f***ing hate him he is a dirty c***. I have never forgive him for getting Carra sent off when he wouldnt leave the pitch and Arsenal fans started hoying coins.
stressederic Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Dirty at times? Yes Sly at times? Yes Genius? Yes Would have loved him at Liverpool? Absolutely

Just watching him play is so graceful.....
Guest Anders Honoré Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Genius of a player. What I wouldn't have given to see him in a red shirt.
Benzo-13 Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Great player, one of my all time favourites. I said at the time he signed from Inter (When he got Serie A - Donkey of the Year) that Arsenal got themselves a bargain..
