Crouch and Fowler - how many goals between them for next season ?

I think they'll top 30 goals between them in the league.

In case I need to justify that statement just look at the what Robbie achieved, while getting himself sharp during the back end of the season. Even without the couple he got wrongly chalked off for offside, he was scoring at a decent rate. With a bit of luck he'll keep himself in trim during the summer and hit the pre season training hard. If he stays fit for long periods and Rafa uses him in rotation he could easily push past 15 league goals next season.

Crouch had an up and down season in terms of goal scoring. He had that massive goal drought before he got a couple and the confidence came back. This season will be different, he'll have less to prove as he has had a decent season in the Red shirt, the high profile transfer is history now and he's an established Liverpool and England forward. Less pressure on him should, if we are lucky, mean he'll be more consistent over the season with his goals. Again 15 in the league is a realistic target.

I just read that Fowler and Collymoe got 55 goals between them in their first season together. I expect nothing less from Robbie and Peter. :P

55 goals is amazing, and kind of dispels the myth that you need a 20 goal a season striker to win the league.

It would be interesting to see how many goals the leading scorer got for the title winners that season.

Think Crouch will get around 12, and Robbie could reach 15 if he gets really fit.

Add to that around 10 for Stevie, 7-8 for Luis and/or Kewell and hopefully 15-20 goals from a new striker and our goalscoring problems should be gone.

We scored over a hundred goals last season...

I'd say 30 in all competitions between them, about 20 in the league.

Yeah but we played a s*** load of games too. We scored 57 in the league, think we need to add at least 15 to that to really challenge (both Chelsea and United got 72 last season).

Having said that, if we score 38 goals and win all our games 1-0 next season, I won't complain.

I know what you mean about the amount of games. But I think the strikers, and most of the team in fact, just lost a bit of confidence in front of goal and we were unlucky not to score a few more in the league.

Our so called "striker crisis" was certainly overblown by the press and any pundit who fancied a dig.

10-12 for Fowler and 7-9 for Crouch in the PL.

But it all depends what other strikers we are bringing in.

I'd go along with 30 goals between them, but only on the proviso there is one striker ahead of them in the pecking order. If Crouch and Fowler become no.3 and no.4 strikers, then they will have less opportunity to reach 30.

I've heard it's Baros and Morientes - goals galore!
