1 million fans "inject" 10 pounds each = 10 million pounds...

A membership scheme on the Barcelona model =

Pay for new stadium + prevent the club being sold to a greedy businessman + provide more cash for transfers

We're to apathetic to lobby the club to do this unfortunately.

I think that you'll find repeated inflation-busting Season Ticket rises are tantamount to the same idea

We have spent £56 milllion in two years since rafa came in

We are steadily progressing, so whats the problem. The reason we are not in for rosicksy is rafa doesnt rate him

Am I the only one who is sick and tired of liverpool's name not being mentioned when you hear a player of Rosicky's name being mentioned in a transfer? Aresenal are going to get him.... who do we get? next best?

What I do get tired of fans who whine when another club signs a player, they start crying 'why didn't we go for him' whaaaaaaaaaa whaaaaaaaaaaa

Even when it's players we had fec all interest in, and player who plays in position which isn't a priority - makes no odds, still they cry about it. Odd.

How does the Barca scheme run exactly? And how much cash do they generate?

Exactly. Those kinds of comments are just embarrasing.

Russian posted an excellent synopsis of it a couple of months back. The Barcelona fans pay a membership fee and as a result they collectively own the stadium, own the club, elect the board and are never short of money for transfers.

Then someone claiming to have connections with Kraft posted a thread saying 'things are moving quite quickly now' and there was a 72 page thread about that and Russian's post was ignored.

Cheers. Had a look but can't find it anywhere.

Just wondering though, how many members they have and how much it costs each member? Is it replicable in any way??

I was using Rosicky as an example of the type of quality that we aren't linked to anymore... you've missed the point, go stand in the corner.

Liverpool FC have arrived at one of the moments in time when things are either going to go fantastically right or go totally t*** up. Lets be honest, we might have a huge number of fanatical supporters but our ground (as fantastic and magical as it is) is not bringing in the cash. It is now looking likely that the club are going to fail to fund the exanpsion that we need in order to compete with the other top teams in the premier league.

Wasn't there some italian club (Fiorentina maybe?) that actually funded a huge signing from a fund run by its fans? I honestly think that maybe liverpool are in need of this from us. Moore's clearly isn't going to give any more cash to the club and the sooner he is bought out the better, but ther eis no point in sitting back and sulking while we lose one of the best managers on earth simply because we can't fund the kind of transfer targets that he needs in order to stay in the race. This man is no idiot, he won't see his reputation fall as a result of not being able to compete.

I'm sorry , I'm bloody tired of it to be honest. We need a larger stadium, we need more funds.

One way to fund the stadium developement would be through our fan base, say £25 for a brick with your name on it or family names on it, knowing for the rest of our lives and future generation that we help to build the new Anfield stadium. I would buy 4 straight away, so there is £100 only £159,999,900 to go. Anyone else interested?

Although he's turned out to be a bit of a dud, Morientes' stature in the game eclipses Rosicky's. In short, you're wrong, go join your mate in the corner.
