Sorry.. to suggest that racism is somehow limited to former slave states and that the rest of the country is somehow enlightened on the subject of race is a lot of bunk. Racism has been and continues to be an issue across the US.

He drives me absolutely nuts. One of the worst announcers I have ever heard. Repeatedly paints himself into corners with his superlatives. Just when you think he can't twist it any higher, he does. I'd rather have my daughter screaming at me.... all four of them... at once.

Marcello and Pepe are filthy players, along with Carvalho. It is so easy to support anyone but Real. That said, Busquets and Pedro need to quit rolling around on the ground (and not just this match).

Not sure it is safe to bank on Gerrard for a full year (or even a good portion of a year). Gerrard out opens door for Raul and Jonjo.

Keep the Greek. We don't play Arsenal or Barca every week. There will be about dozen Premiership matches where his physical nature and aerial ability (at both ends) will be perfectly suited.

There was an interview on the Offal when he first moved here from Rangers. It was with someone who had coached him (I think) in Scotland. The question was asked, whether he could play other positions, like left back. The answer was an unequivocal no. He is a central defender.

Isn't that new keeper, that we never play, away on International Duty for 3 weeks or so? Really begs the question....

Re experience, I believe he was referencing the time he was on loan to Huddersfield. Played 7 matches, scored once I think.

I would speculate that he did not come in at CB as Rafa is lining him up as RB cover... where, as you say, he has looked comfortable (and a bit quicker than I originally thought).... so Kelly got another run out as a RB. We do appear to have a bit of an issue at CB though.
