For starters, I'd hazard a guess that Spurs forums aren't exactly a bundle of laughs at the moment (well, for Spurs fans that is).

No doubt Young would have been a realistic target, but lets not kid ourselves he wouldn't have cost circa £25M. I guess there's an argument that paying that would have been a better bet than ~£20M for Keane given our needs, but who knows how things'll work out. And MON would have fought tooth and nail to keep him at the club no matter what we offered. And for people comparing Young to Hargreaves and Carrick and trying to come up with a price. Ashley Young is young, fast, skillful, direct, English and plays in a position where there is a dearth of talent. O'Neill's recent comment about him being valued at £30M probably isn't far off the mark as to what they'd expect if they were thinking of selling in this window.

Been pointed out by several before me, but given it's just a bone-crushingly important point I think it needs reiterating. In what bizarre parallel universe do you think MON would sell Ashley Young to us for £15M? There isn't a chance in hell that they'd have sold him for that.

The co-commentator was terrible. Always backed the ref, even when he was wrong. Insisted that's Brazil's disallowed goal was onside (even when it clearly wasn't). Topped it off by saying that Argentina would be favourites in the final "whoever they play" even though Nigeria had already beaten Belgium 4-1 earlier that day.
