I think Wharton works really well with a proper physical DM, but it means Dom and Grav become rotational options. I think if Wharton and a proper DM replaced Jones and Mac the balance of the midfield options would be much better than it is now.

I don't think it's negative. If he's appointed he may turn out to be great, however its also fair and reasonable to have reservations given his lack of experience and what's he's achieved so far as a manager.

My main concern, aside from his experience is Bournemouth are very 'Open' they concede loads. Can see games where we will win 4-0 then draw 3-3.

We don't know unless we offer him the job. Iraola might be great he might be Rodgers. He won't have the luxury of a 'transition' season, he will have to deliver next season. Big pressure for someone without the experience.

Na he plays a back 3. Id rather someone like Naglesmann (realistic) and sacrifice that he would miss some of pre season etc.

If it's Iraola then good luck to him genuinely hope he is the man, but won't lie would've preferred someone with proven success. He will have a tough job on his hands. Can't see anything less that 7 signings needed. Maybe get away with 5 if Ali and Konate stay.

He will need to win the league next season to have any chance of redemption. 'improving' based on this season should be a piece of piss for any manager so if they are planning on sticking with Slot the league title is the objective and minimal expectation.

I don't think we wanted Xabi...he would have waited I'm sure if it was a possibility. I am surprised he's gone to Chelsea though. Think they want to keep Slot but think it's inevitable he goes now. But we will end up with someone like Iraola, Hoeness etc. Which may well work out but think it's a huge risk. We need someone proven.

I don't believe there is a plan. Genuinely think the briefings about him staying are true. Just got to hope the pressure for change continues but not confident we will get a top class replacement and will be another punt.

I’m genuinely curious about the analytics they used to pick Slot. There's one thing I guarantee wasn't measured in the algorithm: charisma. Man-management and personality are everything in this game, particularly for Liverpool and those are mandatory attributes for our next manager.
