No way was it a penalty for us last night, but Giigs did not dive. The goalkeeper was stupid going for that ball, he was just asking to be penalised. As pointed out, he tried to make it look like he was trying to avoid contact, but he was always going to Knock Giggs over. Fool. What we all hate is the player that dives and pretends to have been clattered when in fact there was no contact at all. This is usually obvious by the content points awarded for the swallow dive. Funny thing is that I like to believe that when a penalty is awarded that should not have been, justice prevails and the goalkeeper saves it. LoL That was the only thing the scottish git did not save last night.

A.J has always been a bloody good striker. I remember watching him play for Birmingham in the Worthington Cup final. He was first class. Was a shame when he missed his penalty in the shoot out. (Please tell me I have not got this all wrong and it was not him. He had hair then I seem to remember) Wherever he goes, he scores lots of goals. I have often wondered why it is that none of the big teams ever go in for him.

The missus and I were talking about that during the game tonight. Have you noticed how often when he passes or lays the ball off he does a sort of shimmy. God knows why, but it leaves his standing leg very exposed, and seeing as the legs from knee down to foot are sooooo long and thin, it would not surprise me if he suffered a badly broken leg one of these days.

Was Lampard playing today? Gerrard was ....well, Gerrard. Fantastic. I noticed the game died a bit when Lennon came on and Gerrard went into the middle with Lampard. They just dont play well together. Other than two goals, Crouch was a little quiet, but up to the moment Defoe scored, I thought he should have gone off. (Defoe that is). Lennon is exciting but not yet a full match player. Downing is not good enough. We won, but should have won by more. I am starting to really warm to Owen H. Sad that is but there you go. One of my biggest complaints about Sven GE was that he was not annimated at all during the game. Neither back then was McClaren, but he got up a few times today and was screaming on the touch line. Thats good. All in all, you cant take much from todays game against such a poor team, but lets hope we stick with it and get used to playing attacking football.
