    We bought a few of those in the 70s and 80s though My point was more that it was rare for our captain and vice captain to be from Liverpool though Leaders have usually come from elsewhere

    We have had succesful teams with no scousers. Even no Englishmen The Carra/Gerrard thing of the last 10 years is actually quite rare in our history But I certainly like to see young local lads coming through our academy

    Fair enough. I think we can be too obsessed with tackling figures and not look at other things (forced mistakes, interceptions etc) I'm not having high tackling stats turned into a negative though.
