This thread is becoming more vitriolic and shameful 'Fans' slagging off one of our players because he made a mistake - Then claiming what good fans they are because their more gutted than someone else - Get over it - its pathetic - He tries his best every time he plays its not his fault he has limited ability - If he didnt try would have some sympathy with critics but he does his best - Why he still in first team is down to manager. Why we didnt win 3-1 was down to Torres and Kuyt. Why JAR had to deal with cross was because Arebello didnt put the ball into row Z To moderator - suggest we close this thread as giving impression LFC supporters all bitter and twisted self indulgent T***** - JAR will probably be playing this week and if he scores how many saddo's will still be slagging him off - HE IS A LIVERPOOL PLAYER not a bl**dy manx Get over it
-
Your wasting your time - if they cannt work out a simple division a small child could do how do you expect them to stop whingeing like a small child - must have someone to blame - couldnt be a simple acccident or mistake. Sad as Liverpool supporters thought we supported our players when having a bad time - maybe being close to Blue noses in league rubbing off and becoming bitter like them. Give the lad a break he will probably be playing next week and his confidence must be pretty low - doesnt need kicking when he's down (now all the kicking jokes can begin)

now sounding desperate and silly - no one said this after the Fulham game
-
For me man of the match - awesome
-
Short memory - didnt he put it on a plate for Voronin only last saturday

He doesnt just more silly speculation to suit his own point of view Riise made a mistake - and we punished for it - this happens in a match - Also if Torres had scored the two good chances he had it wouldnt of matter. And before you jump in not slagging Torres but mistakes are made all over the pitch some matter some dont. And all this about wages is irrelevant - he can be accused of many things but he is not lazy. Rafa picked him so was it his fault - This bile to one of our own is getting silly. We didnt lose and who knows this may spur us on at Stamford Bridge because without doubt we were the better TEAM Have a little faith and dont let one of our players 'WALK ALONE'
-
The guy made a mistake - for goodness sake this vile bile directed to one of our own is appalling - obviously new 'supporters' - I agree Riise not the greatest player but he always gives his all How about a little support and understanding here - we had a bit of luck against Arsenal now the boots on the other foot lets see how we respond - players and fans. Its not over yet and maybe this will push us forward - which team in the world has more character than us

I hope he hasnt because its Rafa they want

Parry aware when recommending deal to Moores that this was the way Hick/Gillette would likely act based upon previous track record As so called competent CEO when approach must have had the nouse to review how Hicks and Gillette financed the other sporting businesses - reasonable to assume this done Gillette arranged meeting with Klinsman at a time speculation Rafa may leave over transfer policy Never been denied and if most anti Hicks posters accept this as true -

amusing coherent arguement - honest Correction - as I keep saying they both need chasing - but for me most devious is Gillette just better at PR - but why let the truth get in the way of a predetermined opinion As regards to your post stating you can back up all your comments as facts - rubbish - Everything about this fiasco is speculation pushed into the public domain to suit the various self interested parties the essential info is known only to the key players and no one else The only real facts are: Gillette and Hicks both loaded the club with debt Stadium not started as financing and plans not agreed by both Hicks and Gillette Gillette wants to cut and run with mega profit for limited investment or time Parry aware when recommending deal to Moores that this was the way Hick/Gillette would likely act based upon previous track record Moores got more money and life presidency with Americans than DIC Gillette brought Hicks to the table - now obviously unhappy with his friends plans Gillette arranged meeting with Klinsman at a time speculation Rafa may leave over transfer policy Rafa/Parry not had a close working relationship for some time but hell thats life Comments / discussions about sub prime affects on lending, Merrill Lynch trading problems etc etc all just hot air from armchair financial gurus who know how the rich make all there money just cannot do it themselves -

I do get it As money so tight who would lend Hicks the money unless they can be sure of getting it back - Liverpool also need to be successful to service debt therefore Hicks must have a viable business plan if he is borrowing money. If DIC buy club - are they just going to write off £300-400m for the love of the fans/club - NO they are a investment company and just like Hicks would expect a similar return on their investment. It appears majority of fans want new players, new ground, better management but all for free - LFC a business and although we are fans most owners are businessmen first fans second. We could of course have a owner like Kenwright and move to the next Tesco site but doubt we we be winning anything again. We have too many would be directors amongst our fans - who keep complaining about washing our dirty linen in public - but isnt that what we, SOS and all other protest groups doing. Rafa seems to support Hicks and thats good enough for me if we are to be stuck with any of the Yanks to me he best of a bad case Also DIC seem to be the fairy godmother to most plans - wonder what they would do differently apart from better PR campaign - All investers in it for the money so why be surprised -

Correct on all counts And if reports true Hicks has funds in place then why pay for shares now when price has been fixed to DIC - Hicks can wait till end of may before handing over cash Simple facts is we will have debt level similar to manx and if Hicks backs Rafa the way the Glaziers have backed Ferguson so much the better And maybe we will get a better CEO/Commercial Director - Hicks will want to maximise returns on investment -

Just trying to get handle on why Hicks bigger menace than Gillette and everything he says is a lies and everything Gillette/Parry say is the truth. Club taken on considerable debt against promises made prior to purchase – All Hicks fault nothing to do with Gillette Ground construction not yet started as promised – but all Hicks fault nothing to do with Gillette Rafa only member of this saga concerned with long term future of the club – yet has been reported on numerous occasions has great difficulty dealing with Parry – but all Hicks fault nothing to do with Gillette Most pundits agree commercial side of club could be better – not Parry’s fault – All Hicks fault nothing to do with Gillette/Parry Gillette/Parry arrange meeting with Klinsman and meet with him for several hours before Hicks and son arrive at meeting – But all Hicks fault nothing to do with Gillette Reported that what Hicks and Gillette doing in terms of leverage of debt is typical behaviour – yet Parry recommended sale to them to David Moores – <a name="OLE_LINK1">But all Hicks fault nothing to do with Gillette/Parry. Gillette wants out with a large profit hence current valuation to DIC - But all Hicks fault nothing to do with Gillette. Hicks wants to extend Rafa contract – no comment from Parry/Gillette – but all problems Hicks fault nothing to do with Gillette Everything Gillette and DIC says is the truth – everthing Hicks says is a lie As I said just trying to understand situation and why Gillette the guy in the white hat and Hicks the guy in the black hat -

Because like I have been arguing and you disagreeing both may be T***ers but he probably believes Gillette the most untrustyworthy of the two - or has Rafa with his inside knowledge less informed than those of us who rely on the media -

Mr Kite - partially agree with you regarding FACTS - but we take info from media and distill as best we can hence reason for these discussions on bulletin boards . Simple truth apart from parties involved all is speculation - so you read your papers/listen to arguements, use your judgement in assessing info and arrive at your own conclusion. Either all info in media is wrong then lets end the thread now or you take reports from media you trust and ASSUME they are facts - what else can you do -
Liverpool v Chelsea - Chelsea's League Success to take toll?
uncle bob replied to Andy @ Allerton 's topic in Liverpool FC
Being realistic and taking into account Stamford Bridge a bit of a bogey venue need at least 2 goal lead with no way goal from 1st leg. Also need SG to turn up never seems to plat well against Chelsea or United -

Note I said welcomed not accepted but a starting point for negotiation - also no comment Gillette points but maybe that suits your agenda I keep reinterating plague on both their houses but I believe Gillette far more devious that Hicks and I am annoyed with Parry for so openly siding with him when he is simply a self seeking employee. Also not convinced Parry going strengthens Hicks position - it depends who replaces him and in what capacity - as have said previously Gillette worse for club imho than Hicks - From reports it appears a sentiment shared by Rafa or are you now going to question his motives -

Everyone keeps focusing on Hicks/Parry and ignore some basic facts. 1. DIC made offer for club which was initially welcomed then turned down after Parry found Gillette. 2. According to reports Parry obtained a £500,000 bonus plus doubled the duration of his rolling contract reputed to be approx £1m a year after finding the Americans. 3. Rafa /Parry have not seen eye to eye for several years - if again media to be believed. 4. Gillette having offered to buy club needed backer hence Hicks brought in by Gillette 5. Gillette nowhere near as wealthy as Hicks so who benefits most by increasing club borrowing - Hicks or Gillette. 6. If a personality clash occurs between Hicks and Gillette why didn't Gillette assess this before inviting Hicks into deal for LFC 7. Why is Gillette holding out for excessive profit from DIC - Hicks claims would prefer to keep his interest in LFC 8. What is CEO doing siding with one of 50-50 Shareholders. 9. Who arranged meeting with Klinsman - Gillette 10. Who was honest enough to admit meeting took place Hicks or Gillette. 11. Why do majority of reports indicate Rafa has more dealings with Hicks than Gillette. 12. Who recommends extension to contract for Rafa - Hicks and yes we know Gillette wants out but if concerned about well being of club surely he would want to see Rafa locked into longer contract 13. Why did Parry who seems to be siding with Gillette keep secret his attendance at meeting with Klinsman if only attending on instruction from owners. 14. As we all agree Rafa is only concerned with LFC then why does it appear he more inclined towards Hicks than Gillette The list goes on but I have come to the conclusion that Hicks may of acted like a bull in a china shop but Gillette appears to be very devious and just better at the PR game. Having said that the sooner both are gone the better but if one stays I prefer Hicks to Gillette but God please its neither of them -
