problem is alonso and kewell has been booked and sissoko is afraid of picking up his usuall quota of cards so our midifled is a problem. I do agree that Hamann and Cisse should have been on the bench. On another note, kewell needs glasses, his long range shots are wayyy off target

as an OOCer I think this thread is quite funny. But FYI I watched the team on the telly in the 80s, 90s and now all around the world on the telly. When I couldnt afford cable for 3 years, I steadfastly went to the british council to pick through old papers to read whatever tidbits I could about my team. I didnt watch any Liverpool for all that time, I was like a starving man feasting on scraps. ....to say that if I happen to finally make over to anfield and it happens to be a big game then I should make way for some local who has gone to a zillion games is ridiculous. After 20 something years of supporting my club while surrounded by cricket supporting, rugby watching, glory hunting idiots and spending what little money I had on foreign newspapers, magazines and internet cafes I think there's nothing wrong with showing up for a big game

I think its hard to beat the argument that Rafa deserves more support than he currently gets esp when managers of lesser clubs have more money at their disposal. And no I dont want us to turn into Newcastle, but there are "financially prudent" ways of getting money to spend
