i'm not aligned to the vision of football that wants to reduce everything to boardroom decisions and acquisitions. sorry. or the assumption that the team isn't being built to klopp's spec. he's a top manager who's attitude to the market and development appears to be much more in line with the owners than it does the majority of fans. i don't know if FSG can bring success. they haven't so far. and i understand some want that certainty. but no one was saying atletico were a club with a winning attitude at the start of this decade. plenty of other success stories have happened in less than obvious ways.

not to the manager, presumably. doesn't mean everyone else is wrong, but he's closer to it, and i'm more inclined to trust him than a load of lads who've adopted fairly intractable positions on the issue. for all the talk of trophies changing opinions, i'm not sure that's even particularly likely for some, unless FSG start doing the sort of money city do. nothing the glazers do seems particularly thought out, but at least for some of it you can point to a load of money being spent or an easily identifiable name here and there. probably for a load of their fans who were demonstrating for two weeks that's now enough to signal ambition or whatever. dunno.

yes. but "they're not that bad" is usually just a response to some mad claim like they're as bad as H&G, or hitler or whatever, rather than a justification or support. this is what the usual voices fail to understand in their need to polarise or dismiss anything reasonable said about FSG.

you're in the wrong crowd if you're hanging around with lads daydreaming about owners. anybody holding up some other clubs tossers v. our tossers is just being a weirdo.

the glazers are rotten. anyone who looks at the money they spent last summer and concludes they're decent, is only engaging in the most superficial way. they took over as close to a sure thing as you can get and have taken it out of the top 4. the recent splurge is just them trying to dig themselves out of a hole. have they made a single, decent appointment since they got there?

the two threads at the top of this page: we're in a worse position than in the last days of H&G v. we're going to win the league. neither extreme is true, probably.
