he likes a hold up striker. but the big success at inter was post- zlatan. milito, not quite as many goals, but more mobile and eto'o wider. he's spent s*** loads on giving himself problems in my view. you don't pay that for mkhitrayan the winger, it's a position he can do a job in, but not where he's done his best work in the bundesliga. he's an advanced midfielder, but then so is pogba, both wants brain and discpline around them. fellaini wants to play there. mata does. rooney does. ibrahimovic often comes into those areas too.

not to the manager, presumably. doesn't mean everyone else is wrong, but he's closer to it, and i'm more inclined to trust him than a load of lads who've adopted fairly intractable positions on the issue. for all the talk of trophies changing opinions, i'm not sure that's even particularly likely for some, unless FSG start doing the sort of money city do. nothing the glazers do seems particularly thought out, but at least for some of it you can point to a load of money being spent or an easily identifiable name here and there. probably for a load of their fans who were demonstrating for two weeks that's now enough to signal ambition or whatever. dunno.

yes. but "they're not that bad" is usually just a response to some mad claim like they're as bad as H&G, or hitler or whatever, rather than a justification or support. this is what the usual voices fail to understand in their need to polarise or dismiss anything reasonable said about FSG.
