That is how I saw it too. And wasn't there a strong hint before that Klinsmann tipped the wink to Rafa? Before this all started way back, he already had connections with Gillette in the US. Then the "social" meeting at Thanskgiving turned out a particular way and he made sure that it got out. I really don't have any reason to think he is a bad guy in this at all.

Glad to see he did have the courage to have a few pops today, without getting scowled at. And Stevie kissed him for the assist, I though he came through well in the second half and kept the ball when we needed him too. I'd love to see him living up to my expectations.

Sounds like he is. Ive said it before CTR is not a wind up artist. Like many others he is getting good information that just doesn't pan out because of the insanity of our owners and their vanity.

Based on what Ive seen (only on tv though), Nemeth looks well worth a try, he stands out like Plessis did. But Brouwer has been awful when I've watched him.

On the basis that Torres and Arbeloa will be sorted by the club, but that ex players and squad members may need some help, I am putting Lucas and my Little Luis at the top of that list of "lads". :-)

Nor can I, I but I am also still holding on to hope ( and my flight and room reservations). I have been lucky enough to be able to limit the cost to a few hundred rather than the thousand or so quid that it may cost through other channels, so my decision on cost is an easier one.. On the plus side, those who cannot get a ticket in their own name, on their own purchase history and matching their passport name will struggle to get a visa independently, given the time lag and the cost. Also if they travel independently, thay will really struggle to get a room at this stage. If you go through the club then the visa looks like being facilitated by the Russians in some way, but that still limits the "pissed up" crew to the maximum allocation of 17k to 21k tickets that seems to be on offer to each club. And a hell of a lot will NOT be looking to get pissed up and fight. I genuinely think that you will struggle to get a flight, visa, ticket and room unless you have preplanned and more importantly shelled out a fair bit up front. And by the way, come on barca!
