Given our poor midfield pairings, it isn't a surprise tbh. Losing the likes of Sissoko, Mascherano, Alonso and replacing them with Poulsen and Meireles (who doesn't even play there anymore.. :S ) Wonder if there's any proof that Roy was a choice made by the players (read Carragher and maybe Gerrard) as opposed to a Pellegrini. True. Was Rafa at Carra's testimonial? Someone who won you the most important trophy of your career (for the moment) and improved you so much, not worthy enough to be at your testimonial?
