'This was a matter for the Kop Holdings board and the entire board.' (ie it should have included Hicks and Gillett) Claims that this in itself is a breach of the sales agreement " ??? Any truth in this?

But his contract runs out in 2012, so this summer onwards his value is going to keep going down, unless he signs another deal, which lets face it won't happen if he wants to leave England for another country. It might end up being an Owen style transfer, which would get us a fraction of the players actual value..

me neither. He has been a top top signing, in the range of Masch, Reina, and may I add Torres to that list as well. Just because he isn't beautiful to watch all the time doesn't necessarily mean he's dosh. He's always there when you need him, works his heart out and takes up good positions & occupies defenders opening up spaces for the others. I'd have him train some of our kids as he grows older, as close to the model footballer as you can have on.

having players that can cross into the box will give another dimension to Crouch. In his previous stint, we lacked the killer cross which Cole for one can definitely provide him. Also, him and Torres up front with Gerrard, Cole, Jova/Kuyt/Pacheco etc would ensure that the opposition defenders don't just focus on Torres and kick him to the ground. Torres can run off Crouch, he can use his pace to torment defenses while peter can trouble them with his presence. I'd definitely play the 2 of them together up front, something we should have done earlier as well imo.

Assuming that he settles down and can match the physical requirements of the english game. Big gamble in those terms imo. At that age, his body is past its best, he may sustain injuries due to the strain the pace and physical nature of the premier league will put on him & if we are to only rely on him to cover the void that will be left when Mascherano leaves, we might be in for it.

No one is debating the trophies he won, he gave us many good victories during his time here. But his attitude since has been nothing short of disgraceful.
