To be fair to Simao wasn't he on the plane ready to come to us when Benfica changed their mind? I'm sure he has just as much passion, maybe more as the likes of Kromkamp or Agger. It would be disrespectful to Benifca and their fans if he came out and said he wants to leave for Liverpool. What if we don't bid?, what if we get outbid? what if a deal falls through? He's then stuck at a club where he knows he isn't wanted and he doesn't want them. That's the kind of thing you would expect of C.Ronaldo...

Crouch, Fowler and Bellamy We need 4 strikers plus attacking midfielders, it's likely we'll play nearly 60 games next season, I guess Robbie won't start more than about 15-20 times, so that just leaves Crouch and Bellamy as the main 2 strikers. What if one of them say Bellamy gets injured?

If Kuyt joins Newcastle it will be purely for monetary reasons, and therfore not the type of player we want at Liverpool. Newcastle cannot afford another £17m+ transfer unless they fancy bankruptcy, but will probably match our bid if we make, or already have made. They will however offer stupid wages to try and lure him.
