Two things. 1) It's quite difficult to improve on what we've got in terms of forwards. We have *really* good forwards. We just need more. 2) Let's look at the converse, what other mid table teams best players who have gotten as good as they're going to get have been brought to tremendous effect

The sunderland fans love him. The games I've watched he's played really well, he's fast and skillful. He would have scored more goals playing in our system, as often when he gets forward the support isn't there.

The Lallana rumour is interesting if true. One of the things that Evans was suggesting was a source of disagreement between the manager and the owners was the need to sign players ready for the first team, vs players 'for the future'. If this is true, it would seem that the manager is slowly getting his way. Or I'm reading too much into bulls*** rumours.

I disagree. City had been sent out to wind him up as much as possible, and relative to what we'd seen before, I thought he showed a great deal of restraint, under a very high pressure situation. Admittedly I'm judging by old suarez rather than a normal person.
