Basically I think/thought he is/was too, but since he's gone on twitter he has developed a bit of a tag team with yer man Tony Evans (of Kenny Huang fame). Basically he is posting from a position where he has more info than others and uses it to belittle/put down people......in my opinion.

Fanning thinks he is the dogs b******s and is just trying to get himself "in" with what he thinks is the "in" crowd. The way he commented on Gerrard and Cole is actually absurd.

I have though about this myself, and personally feel that away from the hype of the crowd, to me it's the fact that he is dealing direct with G&H and not with Broughton who is conducting the sale, that gives the smell of BS.

Agreed, Evans got his info from Rafa, and Barrett got his info from Evans. They are so clearly out of the loop right now. Really goes to show that its who you know, not how good you are in the journo game that is what counts.
