3-4-2-1 seems to be something the smaller teams like palace, leverkusen and united play. Do any good teams line up like that? Should we? Seems a gamble and we’re lucky if we can even get 2 fit centre backs onto the field.

We should get him before United do? Or is Amorim going to be great now, after United were patient with him?

Salah is 33, van Dijk is 34. They're both ageing the wrong way, if you get what i mean. Every season he'll be a little poorer than the last. That's just the way it goes with footballers, they're past their prime, it's just a fact of life. I dont see how Slot is to blame for Salah messing up chances or messing up easy passes. He was 11/10 last season, this season he's starting to look like he shouldn't start games. Really don't see how Slot's tactics are to blame for that.

£450m is a big number, but it doesnt say that we also had around £250m outs, that we lost Diogo, that Salah & VVD are not last season's players and that our star signing isn't match fit yet. There's a lot of mitigating factors.

Don't think we should give it to Salah, he probably wont drop himself. Give it to Gerrard, i'd love it if we can somehow get Henderson in as his assistant.

yeah. - the 2 up front being 2 from isak/ekitike/salah/gakpo - the holding midfielder could drop between the centre backs to allow the full backs to bomb forward creating width, suiting out wing backs - "only" issue is it's 4 midfielders rather than 3, so it's grav, dom, macca & wirtz with only jones & endo the backup for 4 positions

I thought our transfer business was excellent. I still think it's good. We haven't seen the best out of Isak (unfit) and Wirtz. They will improve.

I was ok with Diaz as well. He's 28 and wanted to leave, we bought some properly good forwards. Isak/Ekitike/Wirtz on paper is at least as good as whom they've replaced.

I was just wondering which set of fans most want their manager sacked. 4 games ago it was that lot. It probably still is, but it's going to be a lot closer.

Some things can be accounted for, injuries & fitness issues with important players like Grav, Macca and Isak. Slot also can't really help Salah's drop off in form after such a stunning season, and Virgil losing half a yard. You also have to take into account that there's quite a few new players that need to gel. What really irks me is the lack of desire, getting fought off the pitch, not winning 50/50's or even 60/40's. The manager should be able to motivate the players enough, we should always match the opposition in energy & desire. And also, the silly switching of positions. Dom at RB, VVD up front, Wirtz in a few different positions. This changing is not helping. Keep it simple and consistent. Slot has earned a lot of credit last season, he's still far in the black, but he needs to do better.

There's enough blame to go around. First header should have been won, perhaps the keeper could have come for it. And Kerkez could have done better as well, win it first or get in the way of the shot.
