  1. 442 with Isak and Salah on top and Wirtz wide midfield on either flank. Or a 4312 with Wirtz as the ten with a solid midfield 3 behind them. Those are the only way where we might have a formation that doesn't leak goals for fun, if we are to start the both of them. Isak is a different question all together, we need to see more of him when he is fit for real.
  2. Think we should go 442/424 for the foreseeable, plugging the holes that our current set up leaves wide open game after game. Gakpo on the left of midfield and Wirtz on the right. If Salah starts, he should be closer to goal, lacking speed as he does. Perhaps Wirtz could learn to play in this the league if he had a clear position to do so in, not roaming around until he does. Endo should get a game too.
  3. Yeah mate. Persistent injury stuff since April. Not in top form due to that, no proper preseason.
  4. Like carrying an injury for much of the time?
  5. We look more balanced with Wirtz on the right, tonight and when he came on against United. Isak-Eki on top with Wirtz filling in on both midfield and coming roaming in in attack. Shame Frimpong went off thou, they seemed to know how to play with each other. Curtis should keep his place at the weekend, playing better than Macca right now. Szobo's corner are zingy and zaftig. Plenty of whip and power, should take them all from know on.
  6. f***. I had just started enjoying Frimpong and Wirtz on the same flank . Did seem to know each other’s patterns.
  7. Wasn't Pep just ranting something about Rodri feeling his knee and that he could not play? And then starting him anyway? I think it's more annoying that Haaland isn't getting injured for a lengthy period of time, me. (And no, I'm really not wishing an injury on anybody, apart from the dinosaur t*** in the Everton nets. My only hope when any key opponent gets injured is that they take their time getting back.)

    Milos Kerkez

Slot said post match that he thought Kerkez was running out of steam having played 90 mins twice before this week. Robbo is a mixed bag nowadays, sadly.
  9. Never mind starting him but bring him on.
  10. Konate had a calf bother so he needed subbing.
  11. Arteta is the October International Break Champion. https://i.etsystatic.com/7997901/r/il/e4248d/6290569280/il_1588xN.6290569280_8u45.jpg

Those are all s***e. *shake hands emoji*
  13. Is he still carrying an injury, or only lacking fitness?
  14. Agree with back four and the three up front. I'd treat this as a whatever game on par with Southampton and rest players with Chelsea in mind. We do not need to win every away game in the CL. So I'd go Mamardashvili; Frimpong Gomez Virgil Robbo. Midfield with Endo behind two others, depending on who needs minutes and who needs to rest. Gakpo, Eki and Chiesa upfront. Obvious players coming on depending on how we do and who is shyte and who needs to rest but still get minutes.
  15. Reading that was the biggest WTF moment I've had lately. I had to go and check up on it, to see if it was for real.
  16. And no nipples. For the benefit of the easily upset global audience who are afraid of nudity.
  17. Thought the same. Was a really cool cat. Hope he is back soon.
  18. That's what happens when an Evertonian is not lying. Every muscle of the body is out of shape in protest.
  19. Yeah he did, already when he was still at Ajax there was talk.
  20. I think City played well against a team who didn't know what to do on the ball apart from trying to win corners. You know, it's allowed to defend a lead away against a top six team, especially as Arsenal look totally impotent. Great goal from Martinelli, but that was their only good chance in the game and that lob could just as well trickled out. A great slice of luck to it.
  21. That's until you realise it means speed or quick in Swahili. Which of course has nothing to do with Isak or his heritage. But still.
