  1. Cause he was a pretty good player and not a one trick pony, and here's a few examples. He was considered by quite a few as one of the absolute best midfielders in the game when he joined, after winning the CL almost single handedly for Bayern, and he played 100 games for us and was never bad when he did. On the contrary he was the only midfielder we had who wasn't s*** at times of our injury crisis. He had loads of injury issues himself of course before he joined and they got only worse after he was killed on the pitch by a Brazilian thug. And still he recovered enough to be our player of the month in April 2022, when we were chasing that "historic quadruple" and he was f***ing ace when we brushed United aside 4-0. None of which makes him even close to being on this list of horrors, to me.
  2. And yet their business model seems to work, as they keep selling players for real money. Immediate profit in the books, while spreading out the incomings over the years of the contract. It's a really, really weird rule to have, never really understood the point of it, unless of course it's a capitalistic spending encouragement tool.
  3. These are shyte aren't they, the lot of them.
  4. I don't know how many defenders they have currently, but Hato was signed before the Colwill injury, so presumably they'll try to sign another. As a comparison: they have an absolutely idiotic amount of wingers around and still wanting to sign Garnacho (of all people).
  5. Colwill done his ACL. We might have some new competition for Guehi.
  6. Absolute madness that mate.
  7. Yeah, it’s been like that for years now all over media, it’s the American wrestling version of “journalism”. All show and no content. He has slipped into it like fish in water, no reason to treat anything he says as real or relevant
  8. Yes, very much so. Saudi are supposed to overpay like crazy.
  9. Ever since the talk of Isak to LFC started we've been hearing 150M from Newcastle and 120M from Liverpool. I think a deal will be struck at 135M incl. add-ons, provided Newcastle can bring someone in. Both parties happy and can spin a narrative of getting a decent deal.
  10. If you read it again you see he doesn't say helping the poorest is a bad thing. Twice.
  11. Same here. I hope everyone who is leaving will go on to have a good career, be it Diaz, Chiesa, Harvey or Nunez. Good people all of them.
  12. We have a back four of Jones, Stephenson, Robertson, Tsimikas? Two left backs and two mids.
  13. Weren't they planning on playing both Isak and Ekitike? Or was that just a pipe dream?
  14. And that's any fan of any team called United, period.
  15. Nunez to Villa. Problems solved.
  16. The lad who joined them late 80's? Are they telling him to put his boots back on?
  17. Individual Retirement Account?
  18. That's assuming someone like Rodrygo wants to come here. And that someone like Real wants to sell and that we like him. And while someone like Sir f***face at that other place wouldn't sell them the proverbial virus, I don't know if I'd be trusting them not to be selling us an actual virus. Now I think Rodrygo could be really good, but I f***ing hate Real (and the idea of dealing with them], to the very partisan point of becoming an Atletico fan in my spare time.
  19. I think we’re very near the world where Salah doesn’t start every game, to ensure he doesn’t suffer from entropy and old man burn out. Loads of games to be played, in all competitions, for every one in the squad. Afcon coming up. So we definitely should reduce his starts to say 80 percent. Be great to bring him on for the last 30 in games against not quite the top opposition in cup games in Europe for instance.
  20. Yeah, it'll take time to get used to all the new faces. Hope they introduce themselves to the fans by being f***ing amazing and being quick doing so.
  21. Incidentally Kacaniklic retired just this summer. Local hero at "my" Stockholm club Hammarby. A bit of local folklore: I literally live in the middle of their supporter base and rowdy dive bars. Good club, mostly good peoples, very colourful and lively on matchday. Hundreds of supporters gather a couple of blocks away early on Christmas Eve morning for a beer and songs to celebrate the birthday of the biggest club legend Nacka Skoglund, who had a decade for Inter in the 50's and a World Cup silver and bronze for his troubles. And nobody around here likes Glenn Hysen much (from Gothenburg as he is).
  22. That's collage is great photojournalism right there!
  23. What instruments are Olise and Kane playing in this ensemble? I hope Kane isn't the vocalist.
  24. Like "Matip" then?
