  1. Sick to death of Mourinho and his lame antics in the media. There is no way he is going to be throwing in the towel so easily. There is so much to play for and a win for them puts them only two points behind us and could also put in some doubt that could potentially shake us. Having said all that we know that Mourinho is talking utter crap and theres no way we should, or will fall into his pathetic games. On Sunday Chelsea will come to try to spoil our party. We have to concentrate and do what we have been doing all season and just tear these a new hole. I seriously dont care if he plays his grandma or whatever, just that we smash them off the face of the earth. Absolutely thoroughly massively smash them into total oblivion. But ofcourse i will more than happily take a one nil victory too. JFW!
  2. And so it begins..Mourinho in talk utter utter krap shock horror..i sincerely hope that we absolutely smash him and his beloved Chelsea to pieces on Sunday. I absolutely truly do. And then, i hope Atletico doubly smash them at the Bridge. That would be simply awesome.
  3. Would absolutely love it if we smashed these. But will just be happy with a win. We have to win. Come on you Mighty Red Men we can do this!!!
  4. Brilliant brilliant three points. Well done the Mighty Reds. We are actually in a Title Race..which was never going to be easy or straightforward..but we are doing all the right things and the last eleven results shows that. So we have three difficult games to go..we have got to keep the composure and keep the belief. Theres no reason why we cannot do this..it really is Ours to Lose. We are so so close. Believe. Ps Sterling performance by Raheem
  5. Norwich..
  6. This is Mental...Just Absolutely Truly Mental...
  7. Thank you sir. We come not to play. Sums it all up really. Plus Rodgers latest comments hardly inspire any confidence.
  8. Liverpool Football Club's principal owner John W Henry has written the following open letter to supporters: John Henry I am as disappointed as anyone connected with Liverpool Football Club that we were unable to add further to our strike force in this summer transfer window, but that was not through any lack of desire or effort on the part of all of those involved. They pushed hard in the final days of the transfer window on a number of forward targets and it is unfortunate that on this occasion we were unable to conclude acceptable deals to bring those targets in. But a summer window which brought in three young, but significantly talented starters in Joe Allen, Nuri Sahin and Fabio Borini as well as two exciting young potential stars of the future - Samed Yesil and Oussama Assaidi - could hardly be deemed a failure as we build for the future. Nor should anyone minimise the importance of keeping our best players during this window. We successfully retained Daniel Agger, Martin Skrtel and Luis Suarez. We greatly appreciate their faith and belief in the club. And we successfully negotiated new, long-term contracts with Luis and with Martin. No one should doubt our commitment to the club. In Brendan Rodgers we have a talented young manager and we have valued highly his judgement about the make-up of the squad. This is a work in progress. It will take time for Brendan to instill his philosophy into the squad and build exactly what he needs for the long term. The transfer policy was not about cutting costs. It was - and will be in the future - about getting maximum value for what is spent so that we can build quality and depth. We are avowed proponents of UEFA's Financial Fair Play agenda that was this week reiterated by Mr Platini - something we heartily applaud. We must comply with Financial Fair Play guidelines that ensure spending is tied to income. We have been successful in improving the commercial side of the club and the monies generated going forward will give us greater spending power in the coming years. We are still in the process of reversing the errors of previous regimes. It will not happen overnight. It has been compounded by our own mistakes in a difficult first two years of ownership. It has been a harsh education, but make no mistake, the club is healthier today than when we took over. Spending is not merely about buying talent. Our ambitions do not lie in cementing a mid-table place with expensive, short-term quick fixes that will only contribute for a couple of years. Our emphasis will be on developing our own players using the skills of an increasingly impressive coaching team. Much thought and investment already have gone into developing a self-sustaining pool of youngsters imbued in the club's traditions. That ethos is to win. We will invest to succeed. But we will not mortgage the future with risky spending. After almost two years at Anfield, we are close to having the system we need in place. The transfer window may not have been perfect but we are not just looking at the next 16 weeks until we can buy again: we are looking at the next 16 years and beyond. These are the first steps in restoring one of the world's great clubs to its proper status. It will not be easy, it will not be perfect, but there is a clear vision at work. We will build and grow from within, buy prudently and cleverly and never again waste resources on inflated transfer fees and unrealistic wages. We have no fear of spending and competing with the very best but we will not overpay for players. We will never place this club in the precarious position that we found it in when we took over at Anfield. This club should never again run up debts that threaten its existence. Most of all, we want to win. That ambition drives every decision. It is the Liverpool way. We can and will generate the revenues to achieve that aim. There will be short-term setbacks from time to time, but we believe we have the right people in place to bring more glory to Anfield. Finally, I can say with authority that our ownership is not about profit. Contrary to popular opinion, owners rarely get involved in sports in order to generate cash. They generally get involved with a club in order to compete and work for the benefit of their club. It's often difficult. In our case we work every day in order to generate revenues to improve the club. We have only one driving ambition at Liverpool and that is the quest to win the Premier League playing the kind of football our supporters want to see. That will only occur if we do absolutely the right things to build the club in a way that makes sense for supporters, for us and for those who will follow us. We will deliver what every long-term supporter of Liverpool Football Club aches for. Unbelievable and nauseating. What a great pile of kak!
  9. Breathtakingly good game. Outstanding all round performance. If they had scored that could have been one of the worst sucker punches ever. Take a bow Mignolet son..what an outstanding save. Early days but can confidently say havent felt this good about us for a long long time. Have to build on this.
  10. Awesome...lets hope she kicks suarezs a*** back into line!
  11. Have we signed anyone yet...this waiting around is getting a bit tedious...
  12. Arsenal have really taken the mick here. Will be extremely surprised if they are ready to go anywhere near the 50 million level. And even then I would tell them to do one.
  13. Suarez or no Suarez..we need to be up there this season. No more faffing around chasing mid table mediocrity. Simple as.

    FSG Watch...

I dont know. Perhaps I am trying too hard to rationalise things in my head. The tweet just comes across cow-boyish now when i look back at it. From reading the forums and report there does seem to be a shift of momentum towards Arsenal pinching him. Just don't understand how Henry could be so mocking without 'knowing' something. I don't know, but one thing I know is that I haven't been so down and out about us since the days of G+H and RFH. I would love it, absolutely love it if I'm proved totally wrong and not only are we back in the CL next season but we also make a determined shot on the title. After all that's what we are all about isn't it. To win things, or at the very least compete.
  15. If he is not a Liverpool player at the end of the transfer window then I will have to say that there is more than an element of truth in this. The thought crossed my mind on the very day it happened, and I thought then he might ask for a move and use all sorts of excuses to force his way out. Sad really.

    FSG Watch...

Actually, initially, like many others I was quite happy with Henrys tweet. Going as far as forwarding it to a few Gooner friends. But on reflection I now see it as a little unwise. Have watched FSG and honestly can say that I don't hate or even dislike them like I did the prats G+H. However I just don't see a dynamism from them. Don't feel a spark. I just don't think they have got it with us.

    FSG Watch...

Why do I get a nasty feeling that Henrys tweet actually masks FSGs true intentions. Perhaps Henry knows that there is a potential deal elsewhere, otherwise how could you mock a situation which is now so serious. And without some serious investment into the playing squad its quite clear where all this is headed. Anything but a good start to the season is going to crank up the pressure massively. Just wonder where that pressure will be directed.
  18. But we dont have any of them. Or anyone even at their level even
  19. This all the way (just posted almost exactly the same thing in the FSG thread..absolutely heartbreaking)

    FSG Watch...

Cant see us getting back into title contention or even into the top four under these owners. Just dont get that feeling with them. Prove me wrong FSG.
  21. Or you can spend all your money on the likes of El Hadjj Diouff, Stewart Downing and Andy Carroll. Luis Garcia and Xabi Alonso were not quite the big big names, but they created a ripple of excitement.
  22. Which of our signings in recent times has actually made us sit up and think, yes, wow now that is some player. Apart from Luis Suarez himself theres not a single player whose name has created ripples of excitement that we at Liverpool took for granted. No one here can say that they were genuinely excited about our summer dealings. From Konchesky and Poulsen to Borini and Allen..i am sorry but we are not going to get into the champions league for a long long time..yes we might get extremely lucky one season, but what will be the point of that when we are not going to be able to compete or have any staying power. Its all extremely sad.
  23. So..we are an average mid-table team, with an average mid-table manager, with mostly pretty much average mid-table players..how utterly depressing.. If FSG wanted to show some intent, and actually wanted to convince Suarez to stay, they could do a lot more than what they have done so far. A lot lot more.
  24. Haha..classic.. £75 - £80 million might get me, extremely reluctantly, to the negotiating table.. nothing less!
  25. Its what I personally believed at the time, and its what I believe now. They know Rafa would have fished them out. It was so easily seeable this absolute fall from grace - just makes you appreciate even more.how well Rafa actually did here. Legend. Enough said. Once upon a time we used to exist to win everything. Then it was to at least challenge for the top honours. Then at least top four and a couple of trophies. Now 'they' want us to think and believe top four may not even happen. And then this dismantling of the squad even further, staggering it is, staggering. If we dont hit the ground running i just cant see many putting up with it. And if its on the back of getting rid of the likes of Dagger there will be carnage.
