We have players like Gerrard and Xabi who can take on elements of the playmaker role, what we don't have is a top quality goal poacher to finish those chances (when we had Dalglish we also had the likes of Rush), the no. 1 priority must be a striker.

Buying players like Baraja as cover for our already strong midfield is a luxury we cannot afford at the moment, the money that we have for transfer should be spent on priority signings - i.e. upfront and on the right. I'd also rather us spend money on a goalscorer than another creative player like Aimar.

At one stage Kirkland was thought of as a better propsect than Robinson, it's just gone all down hill for the poor guy with his injuries. Pleased for Carson, but feel really sorry for Green.

I don't have a problem with the press, pundits or fans calling it the Gerrard final, the club calling the official DVD that is a bit disrespectful on the other players.

Momo went down with cramp towards the end of the second half of extra time - long after Gerrard had been limping around the pitch. Plus i think Reina also may have played some part in us inning the cup seeing as he saved three penalties!!! I think the marketing department at LFC need a clip around the ear for coming out with this.

I used to go to an Irish pub just behind the Sagrada la familia, it's called Michael Collins - i would presume they would be showing the match - there were usually quite a few reds there everytime i went. opps, sorry just read that you need somewhere near the GP- I really should read posts properly before replying

Yep he is really good player, great piece of business by Pardew getting him from Wimbledon on the cheap Zamora will most likely replace him, if he is'nt fit in time - although Sheringham did give us a few problems last week

Highs: Beating the bitters with 10 men, knocking the Mancs and the rent boys out of the FA cup. Lows: Losing to Benfica, losing to Chelsea at home and the Mancs away. Another big low was Sissoko's injury and thinking he may never play again - thank god our Momo is a fighter
