It's quite indescribable how bad we are.

Don't know how many times it needs saying, but the Gerrard debacle is, well, a f***ing debacle. Stands between the two centre backs, gets the ball off one of them, looks up, then passes it to the other one. Or maybe gets it to the person ahead of him then gets it back (then sideways to the centre back). Or plan b is knocks it aimlessly forward diagonally to one of our smallest players. Absolutely nothing that skrtel or Lovren couldn't do themselves. And to add insult to injury can't actually defend and break up play. Complete waste, it's like playing with ten men.

Or they actually just aren't good enough? My point is we've missed out on a massive opportunity in the summer as for the first time in years we had the money to compete with the big boys, especially with cl to offer. Yes I've seen us over the decades and like you have seen us squander opportunities to build on relative league success (ie 2nd). You talk about patience but we've been saying the same thing for 20 odd years. And in my opinion we are no closer to competing. Nobody is talking about winning the league or CL. But I think we are in real danger of going out at the group stages (in fact i expect it) and i genuinely think we will struggle for top 4.

You talk about Real and Chelsea like they are the only two games we've lost. Villa? West ham? Newcastle? Basle? Get the drift? We are picking players out of form, seriously out of form. We had £46m quid not even kicking a ball today. A striker who is the polar opposite of Suarez, who can't play up front on his own and hasn't got a league gosh too his name. Guess what, he pushed up from on his own. Again. We have A sub striker who looks Sunday league. The manner refuses to accept our captain can't cut it anymore, but defensive mid anyway But hey, apart from that, all is well.

Not being funny. You cannot be ok with that. Lucas, Toure and borini? Against the best team in the world at theirs? In the CL? Farcical

About a month or so ago i posted in a match that (can't be bothered to dig out out) how it looked to me that we'd signed quite a few duds to fill the squad, but to dissimilar to Spurs. I got absolutely pounded for it, called a WUM, etc. Even got told my post works be dug out as a classic in wind up our knee jerk. Without turning this into a told you so exercise, I see lots of others are now making similar comments. So, have we really miss spent as i think we have? Was it really Suarez rather than Rodgers last season? Or are we going though transition and we'll get it right again? My overriding feeling is this reluctance to spend big on quality, proven European players will haunt us. Taking gambles on ballo, Markovic, Lambert, Lallana etc just seems ludicrous, when there was really quality it there and we decided to spread it way too thinly, seems very moneyball to me. Is Rodgers the man for the job? Lots of questions i know and the big part of me said he deserves time after last season but i think if we get knocked out of the CL and continue this form in the league fans will turn pretty quickly.

Possibly the worse post of the year. He comes out of this game with zero credit and to try and credit him for a couple of goals is lunacy. He is/was dreadful

Can't believe what i'm watching. Dreadful dreadful stuff. How bad is balotelli, lovren, Enrique, Johnson. Defensively awful, non existent in midfield and toothless up front. Goalie is a bag of nerves, passing and touch is awful. It really is as bad as it gets

I got absolutely lambasted a couple of games ago for saying what most are now saying about how poor we are. We've sold or best player and replaced him with 7 or 8 mediocre players. We've not strengthened at the back one bit, and not taken the opportunity to replace our aged, struggling captain, who had carried us for so long but who we are now carrying out there as he simply is a luxury (sitting in front of the back four basically offering nothing). What should have been a wonderful season building on last season and being back in the champions league, is turning into a f***ing disaster where we will not only quite likely crush our of the cl but are going to have a real uphill struggle in the league. We are very average, simple as.

I repeat, Lambert is f***ing abysmal.

on the previous comment about , balotelli, yes he played for city, and inter, and milan. And all have got shot because of his attitude When 3 of those 5 games are defeats, two of them on the bounce against villa home and west f***ing ham, then you can start to worry. The signs are there. Our defense is bad, very bad. And now we haven't got our world class striker to bail us out. All I am saying is that I think we've invested poorly, it was the wrong strategy. As for this billionaire stuff, what a load of b****x. Most seasons id agree we wouldn't be able to compete, but we spent loads more than city and Chelsea this summer, we've spent well over £100m!!! It's just imo, we've done it badly. On top of that, there are the glaringly obvious things that almost everyone is concerned about, that's the Gerrard debacle, apart from pens, what does he offer. And playing Lucas alongside him was criminal (again). Plus 3 huge centre backs who concede soft goals and look like conceding from every cross. Was the same ALL last season, so where does it stop, how long do we go before it's out down to bad defensive coaching?

Hate to come on and say this, but I got f***ing slated on here last week for stating I think wet are in big trouble, buying too many average players to replace one world class one, when our rivals were buying to quality. Well lo and behold one game later and loads are s***ting themselves, and rightly so. We had massive opportunity this summer and even at this early stage, imo we have f***ed it up big time. Here is my example, can anyone honestly say any of our summer signings works get inn the city or Chelsea first teams, just one? We've gone from a title challenging die to one with no chance in 5 games. Think about that......
