    The only good thing with the current s*** show that is VAR is that it is highlighting the arrogance and incompetence of the PL refs (even more than their previous on field action). They took an extra year to implement VAR and somehow managed to learn nothing and instead make it possibly the worst version worldwide, with the high bar, not using monitors etc.

    Doesn't matter if he was anticipating it or not. The law states if it hits hit arm and it's out of the natural silhouette, it's a penalty. Just shows that rather than VAR sorting out the s***e referees, the s***e referees are sorting out VAR. They need to get some independent people in the VAR suite.
