I don't believe there was negativity there - it's just that it's hard to argue with his form over the last season or two - it's not like he has been banging in 20-30 goals. I'm not saying we shouldn't sign Defoe - if we do, he will have my full support as with any other red - and I hope he does turn it up a notch or two if he comes here. Also, I agree with the sentiment that I dislike what I have heard about Bellamy as a person - but I like what I think he would bring to us as a player.

I just don't think Defoe is the right man - he's never really lived up to his potential as a goalscorer, so he's a bit of a "hope he makes the step up" kind of signing (if he is signing) as opposed to a proven performer.

Kromkamp did ok - but the situation was calling for a bit of poor lil' Luis magic. Must have been tough watching that one.
