I've a Hammer mate who goes on about this. He also says they had james, and Di Canio wasn't a bad player. Facts are though, they aren't big enough anymore to keep these good players. And in fact 'Arry Redknapp loved selling them. He only got pissed off about them to raise the price of the next one leaving. He only got really pissed off with the board for selling at what he thought was too cheap a price, and then not letting him have more money to go out to but replacements. Blame their board, blame Harry 'Car Dealer' Redknapp, blame the players that left. They knicked Defoe from Charlton anyway. Was enormous fuss about it. Tribual gave Charlton some s***ty fee.
