Am I right in thinking that you suggest his height has no bearing on his ability to play football? We play a lot of football in the air. And so we should with our squad. SWP is too small. End of. I'd love it if we had a team of massive monsters who could play football. Midgets need not apply. As for the goal shy runt that is Michael Owen. He is a Monster. And I do affectionatley miss shouting "You Goal Shy little runt" when he missed penalties. I also miss saying on asked "who scored?"... "the goal shy runt.". I also miss "get in there you goal shy runt". But is that a reason I'd like us to sign him. Probably not. The runt.

If you count thinking SWP is too small then yes. I reckon we should look at Pennant. We'd pay a small fortune for SWP then lose him down the grid.

I don't want Defoe. He scored the same goal he scores 60% of the time the other day. Feigns to go right, cuts in left and blasts the ball at the near post. He's been doing it his whole career. He does this so often that good managers and defenders have sussed him. When he feigns, send him inside, and stand him up. Jol has realised this and dropped him. He'd absolutely love £12m for him. Until he learns that doing the same thing won't do over and over again, and that good strikers are good because they're unpredictable, he'll be s****.

I whole heartedly agree. What's to lose? A few bookings? Give them a right royal t***ting. Then when they roll about on the floor, we can laugh.

Considering they spent most of the match with 10 men. I thought we were unlucky not to win the game, given chances missed and the stonewall penalty not given (linesman???). But they stuck at it. And got a fortuitous equaliser for their trouble. They defended well, as 10 men often do, but it wasn't do or die stuff. The step up to make Fowler offside for his last gasp winner was good given the circumstances. I thought we gave Pennant a little too much respect. And he punished us for it with his crossing which made our night a lot more uncomfortable than it should have been. Anyway. Shame. Rafa still yet to show the t*** how to play real football Well Done Brum.
