Been on the phone since half eight. Time to give up I reckon. No half six train from London, no £80 or so expense. Just get up, wander down the pub and watch us beat the Mancs.

Would definitely have kept Sinama. He was a good option for right midfield and up front. Not exactly our two strongest positions.

If someone had said this time last year that Robbie Fowler and Peter Crouch could be our front line now, they'd have been mocked to within an inch of their lives.

Rafa likes to drop in a surprise inclusion every once in a while and I reckon Robbie might make the starting line up tomorrow. Its all dependent on his fitness naturally but, given the concerns about the goalscoring form of our other strikers, I reckon Rafa might chuck him in. He's done well at the Valley for us before! Fowler and Morientes perhaps?

Why are you rolling your eyes? He's entitled to his opinion. Pongolle has shown himself to be an effective player for us and Morientes is disappointing more often than not.

I guess the idea is for him to get more games. They've got Bellamy though and I'd imagine he'd be first choice in the quick striker department. Really hoped we'd get through today with him still around.
