Granted he needs to work on his finishing but I read somewhere he was scoring at a rate of 1 in 2 when he was played up front so there is evidence of improvement. I thought he was as important as Suarez in the final third of last season.

It depends what you mean by "top established players". If its an Ozil/Di Maria from Real Madrid then I'm happy that's the case. If its an Alonso from Sociedad/Suarez from Ajax then I'm not sure you are right necessarily.
