  1. I don't agree with that particular post but generally what he posts is worth reading.
  2. There's a balance to be struck. He's too risk averse in the middle third, for my money.
  3. Correct on all counts.
  4. His passing is a lot more effective in the final third than it is in the middle third (where it can be pretty anaemic). He seems prepared to take more risks in the final third.
  5. Think he's in referees faces, hectoring them, too much. It comes across as a bit petulant. I also doubt its effective - I'd find it pretty tiresome if i was a referee. Whilst I sometimes wished Gerrard was a bit more vocal with referees, Henderson has gone too far the other way. Still reckon Lucas is the best candidate out there.
  6. Yes - it's an option
  7. Fair assessment.
  8. Or you play Sterling as one of the two strikers
  9. Switching to 3412 after half time looked to bring a better balance to the team. We were still solid down the middle but carried much more threat in attack.
  10. Andy Carroll out for the season. I wasn't happy at the time but Rodgers' decision to let him go has been vindicated.
  11. Me neither. We are better off leaving him where he is.
  12. Played on the left at lot under Mancini at City. My issue with Johnson at RCB is that he seems to forget that he isn't a FB any more and deserts his post too often. I'd start Balotelli at home to Besiktas. At least on paper, I see Palace away as the trickier game.
  13. Owen was after the spice boys. McManaman comes across as a lot brighter than his mate who you didn't include in your list.
  14. Lucas' absence is a bigger concern.
  15. We don't play again until Thursday evening so I'd go with a strong side: Mignolet Can Skrtel Sakho Markovic Henderson Allen Moreno Lallana Coutinho Sturridge If Sterling is fit then he plays instead of Lallana.
  16. That's debatable. How about Sturridge's injury against City which kept him out of the Chelsea starting line-up?
  17. He has a fantastic engine but is pretty ordinary with the ball at his feet. Unless he can add goals to his game then I reckon we will need to upgrade in the long-run.
  18. He looks the part already. Not good news for Manquillo.
  19. Disagree. For now he looks more accomplished in defence than he does in midfield.
  20. It's certainly better than Henderson and Milner. Henderson has his strengths and weaknesses (I happen to think the latter are glossed over on here but that's old ground). I dont see Milner as being a complementary midfield partner.
  21. I prefer Lucas (by some margin) if the role is anchoring the midfield.
  22. To go into the 1st team?
  23. Why not? Try a distinct lack of craft.
  24. Henderson and Milner as LFC centre-mid?
