and likewise some current players may be happy rafa's gone and start performing better on the field. Champs League? - Yes Rafa as Manager? - Yes The yanks in charge? - Yes Gerrrard, Torres, Masch all walked? - all three will be here
Sometimes u have to admit u aint good enough. As much as we've had a few draws that we should have won, we also had some draws we could easily have lost eg Luton and Portsmouth so it cuts both ways. Add to that some fortune vs Everton. I would actually say we are very far considering the standard of our passing and movement. Add to that the dreaded and at times baffling rotation and there you have it. I think we will be top 4 but it won't be a walk in the park.
You can normally tell who is having a bad day just readng through here. Daniel is spot on... some fans can't handle the truth as much as they clamour for it.
The prolem, Steve is this takes attention off the owners and back on rafa's dessappoionting team performance. Some would rather all the blame for our under-par outings lie squarely in the US.
Yeah just saw that. Also highlights our lack of team style when we rely on individual genius of 2 players. So much for the crushing machine concept we saw glimpses of vs Derby and Besiktas (I know).
It seems most agree that we are capable of playing better than we are doing with the players we have, so why are many quick to conclude that a new manger will be "likely less successful"? To me it is quite clear that Rafa is a good manager BUT his methods and appoach do not suit the EPL and he has not shown any signs of changing is style and footy philosophy.
Some decent points BUT Rafa still believes in rotation and cautious tactics. I am not convinced he would be a success in the PL even with 2 or 3 additional top class talents. Question then becomes do you let the rot continue another few years or do u implement changes now. I still strongly believe a stable starting 11 from season's start & we would be performing better points wise.
