but you dont know whats going to happen at the end of the season, right? people are talking abt this game like the 2 points lost is going to drastically change our league position in the end, but no one can tell until May. all top teams lose points against "teams they are suppose to win", thats how football works. we just need to make sure it doesnt happen too often.

disagree, you could also say that about man utd losing 2 points to sunderland when they drew them at home, and we would be have ended up three points behind them. my point is theres really not much sense talking about what if we won this and drew that because there are other variables to consider here.

its natural for some people. people are expecting us to win every game from now to the end, because "we should be getting three points against such teams". abit of a weird mentality to me... playing away to a newly promoted side on the first league match of the season is always a difficult position to begin with, and with a team like sheff wed, it was never going to be pretty. i'm not bothered about the result...

i agree. but apparently using money as a reason is considered sacrilegious on this forum. the last time i said that, i got ridiculed for thinking lfc as a financial institution not a football club. nice to know someone thinks that way...

i agree, its only the first competitive game of the season but the signs are very encouraging. pennant's crosses are devastating and once SOMEONE converts like 20% of his crosses, we are in business. it did look like 80% of our play came from the right though, i wish our left would even things out a little.

put garcia in there too, some of his moves are great

zenden's been ok, just that when compared to pennant, he just doesnt offer as much on the wing as in the center. our left hand side does look weak though

some fantastic midfield battles going on, i think the lads are definitely up for it today, they are going for every loose ball.

Are you saying mine are? But yeah, they do have excellent fakes around that region. But having lived there for the better part of my life, I think (or want to believe) I have a trained eye for such stuff, an alarm usually goes off in my head whenever I see something thats not right.

he posseses a fantastic turn, shoots pretty well on either foot and holds the ball up pretty well. he works quite hard for the team too and I would love if he signed for us. cant really see it happening though...hes getting on abit and would be very expensive.

what? this is getting ludicrous, Dudek chooses to pass the ball to Hobbs and its Traore's fault for not screaming at Dudek for passing him the ball to him? feck me, by your reason, the entire team should be blamed since they didnt insist that Dudek pass it to them. whatever, like I said, I hope Traore moves to another club soon - for his sake. and whats "the wrong side of the pitch"? Hobbs preferred to clear the ball with his right foot, and paid the price. I would rather have Dudek pass him the ball on the "wrong side of the pitch" in the friendly than in an actual match, he probably realizes the grave importance of using the other foot now.
