  1. I dunno, a free role behind two strikers would suit him nicely. Free role behind one striker less so, certainly. We haven't seen him deployed behind Kuyt and Bellamy in this 3-4-3 (3-4-1-2 if you like). I'd very much like to.
  2. I suppose we could always make do with Gerrard, eh?
  3. Aimar's career is on the downslope, I think.
  4. Exactly. And Fernandes' ownership didn't change either, just who he was loaned to. It's pointless fannying about. A stepover, if you will.
  5. They're inspecting feck all. It's the same with Fernandes joining Everton. Portsmouth loaned him for the first half of the season while he's jointly owned, no probs. He goes to join Everton, there hs to be an "investigation" They just want to be seen. Who, though? Them playrs are rare eggs. VDV?
  6. I like the idea that Rafa knows exactly what he intends to do with him. It'll be good, whatever it is.
  7. From the Echo - Parry says "Don't Worry", and John Miskelly is back at the table. http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0500liv...-name_page.html
  8. We should agree that all suits of any description are complete and utter andyjohnsons and not worth talking about. Visualise positive things, like Tim Cahill with a Sissoko-shaped hole in his chest.
  9. Who cares about the suits, like?
  10. We now have three midfield ball winners, as well as Gerrard. That sounds to me like we're building a team around Garcia.
  11. Gillett, from what I can gather, has a big fat head, while Ansari was well groomed and has a red tie. This is the only hard evidence I have to base a preference on, if I'm honest.
  12. Did Moore have the option of ignoring Gillett's new bid, though? I don't think he did, like - he had to consider it, and he'd probably have been obliged to put it to the shareholders too.
  13. According to Dave Usher, it's Moores fault, and it's to do with money.
  14. "See, if you tilt it back, you do have a neck"
  15. Kewell's described as a makeweight, they're not suggesting a straight swap.
  16. I'd be delighted with Pedersen. Cant see it, though. He'd be close to a £10M player, I'd guess. Not necessarily worth that amount, but it's what he'd cost.
  17. So do we presume that Gillett now goes through a similar month-long process of due dligence, and the whoel thign is delayed by that length of time?
  18. If he could stop directing those simple headers straight at the keeper, he'd be an utter legend. He'd have about ten more for the season, easy.
  19. Interesting piece here from the Guardian, regarding part ownership of players, etc. http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2002591,00.html I dunno if Mascherano is part owned or not, but it seems to be a minefield. Don't forget to laugh at Evrton as you go.
  20. I don't for a moment think it's a good idea, like. Just what I'm hearing from West ham supporting mates. Besides, in a world where propel make £18M offers for Darren Bent, it makes PERFECT sense.
  21. Word on the grapevine is that the list of players Neill alluded to when giving his excuses includes Juan Riqueme.
  22. Doubt he'll play. 90 minutes of actual football hardly fits in with his retirement plans.
  23. Times reckon we're lookign good for Mascherano. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,428-2554856,00.html
  24. He's not been right since his injury. They're releasing him for a good reason.
  25. Alex is owned by Chelsea, dunno the ins and outs, but he is.
