Torres is the same risk as Villa, but withotu the goalscoring. Huntelaar is pacy and scores heaps. Not as many as Kuyt, mind.

Huntelaar's the only name springing to mind, really, and I don't know a lot about him. There really aren't that many top-tier targets out there, that I'm aware of. Hopefully Rafa's better informed.

I think he's too big a risk. His quality is there for all to see, but if his mindset isn't right, he's no good to us.

Aye, but all flawed - Kewell and Aurelio have a dose of the kirklands. Gonzalez has a bit of sparkle, but he's far from the finished article, and you don't really get the sense that he'll be a world beater in five years - an effective player probably, but not the top tier. I wouldn't write Riise off by a long shot - his faults ar ethere for all to see, but he's been a good servant for a lot of years.

Funny, after years without a left sider, we currently have Kewell, Zenden, Gonzalez, Aurelio, Riise (and Warnock just gone). All left sided, and none of the satisfactory for various reasons. We can't win, can we?

That list on the UEFA site is the entire first team squad, as opposed to our Champion's league squad. It's not especially accurate either, according to them, Luis Garcia left the club in the January window.

Hard to know. Would wehave added him to the Cl squad on the off chance? Could we have without his reg?.
