When you are at the top of the tree, you have usually got there by having a 'cold' ruthless part to you. Hughes Slot etc, will know they need to move on and get someone in, and it won't be easy , but they will know it has to be done, once the initial grieving/shock is over they will look at the squad without Diogo. When I say they have a cold part, I don't mean it in a bad way, but you don't get to be where they are without being mentally strong. The person coming in? That will also be hard, as they will undoubtedly be compared by media etc. If it is Danns, he obviously won't have wanted it this way, but this may be his sliding doors moment - and again I am not in any way thinking he is going to bed tonight thinking he is now up the pecking order and has a smile on his face, but if the opportunity arises, he could 'benefit. Another horrible word, benefit - like insurance policies say death benefit - there is no benefit in death. (Apologies for any typos, just got up and glasses not yet on)

pre season will actaully be good for the players. on tour they will be together a lot and they can all work through it together. At work we lost soneone. a few weeks ago, had cancer and passed within a week of telling us. It's been horrible, but we got through and LFC , players and fans will too - some will take longer than others.

I have noticed he has started posting again on something, unsure if its Insta or whatever - but he had disappeared on public SM for a while. And this thread has been great, I had a boring Teams meeting for 45 mins and this was far better. Thanks all
