So after all the torment of the last few days the bottom line is that we get f*cked over by the Millenium Stadium and FA. The people who have paid for the tickets that were stolen will quite rightly have them replaced. This leaves a whole new set of fans who have their tickets stolen and the fact that these people don't know for sure if they are one of victims does not change that.

They only issue duplicates for those positively identified as stolen and provide the Millennium Stadium with a list of the seat numbers.

Any lawyers around who could give us a legal take on all of this?

I can't remember the last time I went into a stadium and my ticket wasn't checked. Either visually or electronically. Maybe I've got it wrong but I was under the impression that there are people whose job it is to check tickets..... and while I agree that the people whose tickets were stolen must be given the ballot tickets it is most certainly not the fairest way. The fairest would be for the stolen tickets to be duplicated and the authorities do their f*cking jobs and stop people who have bought stolen tickets from entering the stadium. There have been enough warnings about buying tickets from legitimate sources, so if you buy from a tout and get f*cked off on the day then tough sh*t. I have gone from having a small chance to having no chance at all because of the actions of criminals and the inaction of those responsible for ticketing arrangements and it is p*ssing me off no end.....

Had crossed my mind, but more in a returning to squad on the eve of the world cup, national hero, what a guy, let's use him in our next advertising campaign, move over Beckham sort of way....but more likely a devious plot hatched by the auld enemy in the shape of ferguson. Using his jock medical staff to tell wayney that he can't go to the world cup cos his foot is broken when really it is just a bit of bruising. The result being that England can't possibly win the world cup without wayney (see hysterical media coverage for details) and the glams have him all fit and rested at the start of next season....or something...

Firstly FIFA are the World Football governing body so they are not European Bureaucrats. Secondly, the FA are just covering their own bureaucratic behinds by making their "noble request". Now that they have been told where to go by FIFA they can wash their hands of it and blame FIFA for their own failure to make their own referees crack down on foul play. Thirdly, this sort of foul play is not new in this country. It has been going on for many years, the difference being that in the 60's, 70's and 80's we didn't have 47 cameras at every match and a studio full of f*ckwits desperately spouting off at the slightest infrinfgement. And finally, you might want to consider a career with Talksport where they love this sort of xenophobic claptrap.....
