Can't argue with Rafa overall, he's handling Robbie really well but with the cup game coming up when he won't play and us being in no danger against Newcastle then it was the ideal opportunity to give him some match practise.

I'm annoyed that this incident has distracted people from his performance which stank the place out yet again. What was he trying to do with some of those shots from a tight angle ? Lost count of the number of excellent opportunities we had to kill the game when he wasted the final ball.

Fair comment. His touch is excellent, his passing very good. I'm just very wary of hyping players up before they are settled in. What the hell, he's an excellent buy.

Can't see the point of giving him 3 minutes on the pitch today. I'd have had Cisse off after about 60 minutes to give Robbie a decent run.

That was no game to judge him on. He had little to do against a poor side. Shearer was quiet today. Not saying he's not going to be a good player for us, but lets see how he copes against tougher tests.

Why wish the season over ? Its been a good one in terms of progress, we've played some excellent football. The run up to the World championship was outstanding, we were playing teams off the park. We've had a bad spell of late but i'm interested to see how its going to work out, hoping the Fulham goals can spark confidence in our forwards. As for talking about getting to Cardiff, lets take the Birmingham game 1st and see what happens. Its the cup, take nothing for granted.

I think you need to look wider than talented players. Paul Jewell hardly got a sniff of our 1st team and his management career is ahead of most of our players from that era. Rafa, Mourinho, Wenger, Ferguson...none of them international footballers. So i'm going for Stevie Warnock.

United would have to have a disastrous spell and they are coming into a good run of form so I don't think it will happen. There's an outside chance but we've already improved on last season and closed the gap so its no big deal.
