I think in fairness to Giles we were all wondering about the team before it lined out, I mean not many expected Arbelola to line out at left back? Giles did say he really likes Benitez, that he has more class than all the other managers in the premier league but his tactics bemuse him.

I wouldn't play Pennant in this match, he p*ssed me off the other night with his petulance - gave the ball away for their goal then did his best to get booked. I would go with 3-5-2, Reina-Carra,Hyppia,Agger-Finnan,Riise,Gerrard,Alonso,(Sissoko or Zenden),Crouch and Kuyt.

Wasn't there rumours that he was campaigning against us being allowed to compete in the Champions League after not qualifying but winning it ? We haven't a hope the Mascherano if this was the case.

I always use Davy Cabs, first time I used them I was on a day-trip from Ireland bringing my father to his first game. Davy cabs picked us up at Mancland and dropped us to Lime street and we asked him if he'd take us back again that night. He said no problem, and wouldn't accept any money until the evening, how nice was that ?
