  9. It's the sort of injury associated with motorcycle crashes...
  10. How do you plan to stop mistimed tackles?
  11. I posted this earlier but it illustrates the point. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vF0xeo5uZmw That is a malicious, career ending tackle that should have people discussing whether or not he deserves to play football again.
  12. Having seen the video I think that Eduardo is just far to quick for Taylor. I don't even think there is much force in the tackle which is probably why he, and everyone else, look so nonplussed until they see the damage. Eduardo flicked the ball away from Taylor at the last minute and in doing so twisted his leg. He then planted this leg in the ground whilst still twister. Put all his weight on it. Then Taylor made a mistimed tackle. If Eduardo's leg had not been twisted when he planted it, I doubt he would have got more than a bruise. Taylor is definitely not smirking.
  13. I still haven't seen a proper video clip of it. There are a million things that can distort a photo...
  14. I think Taylor needs to be cut a little slack here. It was a clumsy no doubt. He caught Eduardo JUST when he had all his weight on that leg, and it was turning. A reckless challenge is one that would injure a player no matter what. The impact is half way up his shin, but if you look where the break is, it is just above his ankle. A couple of milliseconds either side and we'd probably never hear about the tackle again. When Keane crippled Haaland it was because of the force keane applied with his leg. Haalands leg was in mid air at the time, AND what Keane did was deliberate. This one is because pressure got applied to the leg when it was locked in place, but not stable. I hope Eduardo makes a full recovery. (I believe the fact that made Cisse almost lose his leg was because a major artery got restricted by the "rearrangement")
  15. Probably wouldn't have broken if his leg wasn't turning at the time. Poor guy.
  16. Someone has already updated his wikipedia page! It's even got it's own subsection

  25. Maybe we should just play it safe and use a .50 cal?
