We were awful today. But the funny thing is that in the two cup ties in this competition, our team performance was awful yet we managed to get through. I guess its a good thing if you play bad but win. But that can only go so far, I just hope we play better in the next round. If we keep this up, well lets just say for some spectators, it will be quite bad for their health!

Oh yeah, your deffo right about the fact that this team play footie and mix it up. Last season we lacked that willingness to mix it up with other teams. The improvements this season speak for themselves With just a few more signings I think we could be on par with Chelsea a lot sooner rather than later. (Hope I don't sound premature saying that) I have one question for David Moyes, which I hope wont challenge his intellect too much... WHO'S THE BEST TEAM IN MERSEYSIDE EH? Really really pleased with the win, I was really bugged when we lost the corresponding fixture last season. All day I was a tad bit worried that this would be a potential banana skin, but I am so glad the players responded in the manner they did esp after playin a prem game just 2 days ago. IMO the lads didnt play at their very best but the fact that they won 3-1 without really excelling shows how much quality the team has, and no matter how much huffing and puffing everton did, our quality in the end saw us through. Anyone reckon this will be Moyes's last game?

That is most unfortunate, I was watching the game on ESPN Asia and the commentators gave the goal to Crouch and praised the linesman for giving the right call.
